Refund & Cancellation Policy
Refund eligibility and cancellation terms for Ask Before HR services.
Overview
TopPurchases from Ask Before HR are one-time service purchases, not subscriptions. This policy explains when a refund or cancellation is available.
Cancelling before review begins
TopYou may request cancellation and a full refund before an Ask Before HR professional begins substantive review of your submission.
Because work may begin shortly after a complete intake is received — especially for expedited or priority purchases — cancellation may not always be possible after intake is submitted.
After review has begun
TopOnce substantive review has begun, the fee is generally nonrefundable because professional time has been reserved and performed.
Once guidance has been delivered, refunds are not available merely because you disagree with the guidance, dislike the answer, or do not receive the workplace outcome you hoped for.
If we cannot accept or complete your request
TopIf Ask Before HR cannot accept or complete your request, you will receive a full refund.
If we miss a paid expedited target
TopIf Ask Before HR cannot meet a paid expedited response target, you may choose either:
- A full refund, if no substantive guidance has been delivered; or
- Continued service, with a refund of the difference between the expedited service and the closest applicable non-expedited service.
Duplicate charges and billing errors
TopDuplicate charges and confirmed billing errors will be refunded.
Delays caused by incomplete information
TopIncomplete intake information, missing documents, or delayed responses from you pause the turnaround period and do not automatically create refund eligibility.
How refunds are returned
TopRefunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing time depends on the payment provider and your financial institution.
How to request a refund
TopPlease submit refund requests through our Contact page and include the purchaser's name, email address, transaction information, and the reason for the request.
Your non-waivable rights
TopNothing in this policy limits any consumer rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
